A Day in the Life - Neels

Head of Product Delivery – K8 Trader (Cape Town, South Africa)

How long have you worked for Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS)?

Three and a half years.

Please describe your typical day

I normally start my day off with a nice coffee, followed by a daily stand-up meeting with the DEV Q&A and Product team every morning. Afterwards, I tend to emails. This is followed by some more caffeine inspiration, checking sprints on Jira and Confluence, and then a nice lunchtime walk.

I enjoy the scenic views here at Techno Park in Stellenbosch. It really helps to clear your head before you get back to the buzz of the dev office.

What do you like best about KCS?

I enjoy the interaction with colleagues in different countries, and the great team spirit in our local office. Many guys prefer to work in the office full time, and that helps us to solve problems much quicker. Seeing each other in person has helped us to maintain a sense of ‘team’, and you are exposed to better insights around the work and the individuals in the team.

What would be useful for new hires to know about KCS?

A world of opportunities awaits once you’re part of the Kerridge family. There are many growth opportunities.

For example, as a group, the company offers you the opportunity to undergo a career change between different departments and business units.
